I've driven the Carrera to the Smokey Mountains twice, LA twice and Texas Hilly Country once. I always pack a bunch of *****, but the only things I remember using was my:
Valentine 1 radar detector
The cheap cigarette lighter splitter with integrated USB from Wal-mart. Game Changer
Rennline phone mount is another road-trip game changer
Extra engine oil
Paper towels and glass cleaner
My co-driver/wife really helps with a second set of eyes and has push started me a couple times when my starter acted up.
Make sure your tires aren't questionable and you have a fire extinguisher.
There will be enough people on the rally with spare parts and tools.
