I'm the one who posted the old 16" Fuchs vs. new 16" Fuchs in the thread referenced above. So I am comparing them side by side.

The "petals" on the new are just a bit more sharply defined than the original set I have. However, the individual petals on the old Fuchs I have vary a good bit each to each. The thinnest petals on the old Fuchs are pretty much dead ringers for the new. Look at the petal at the 4 o'clock position on the old wheel photo vs. the others on that same wheel.

If you compare the backside of the old vs. the new, it is clear that there is more of a distinction between the two.

Even as particular as I am about such things, the new ones are a great alternative given the price, quality, and authenticity.
