I took a walking tour of the downtown building and mostly historic buildings. It was cool, but I was glad we just had to hunt and gather enough people to agree what restaurant to eat at. Then walk back to the bus to be taken back to the hotel. It was the Porsche Parade in 2010 in St. Charles, IL.
I just went outside to the go on an few errands. The El Camino was dead as a doornail. It did have 12 volts according to the Fluke volt meter, but no amps. The headlights would just barely light up. My business partner borrowed my battery charger a long time ago, so I had to go over and retrieve it. That took a ballet dance to get to it. He is a single man. He has three scooters, one Motorcycle, a Miata, and and RAV4 in his garage. Of course he also owns a pickup, and 1/2 ownership in an airplane.
So I will charge it for an hour, and see it it starts. And then go get a battery. If no start, back to the 911, and take the battery to the battery shop.
