Wheel can refer to the wheel itself, or the wheel and the tire combo. Rim can refer to the rim of the actual wheel or the entire wheel without the tire. Trim rings are never rims.
I think having the center blacked out, and the outer rim portion polished bright would look hot on this car. Could be satin black or shiny black for more bling, but a polished outer rim will make the wheel pop, and go well with this car. Polished rims with shiny black centers also adds more bling, but is still elegant. On some cars a polished center cap can look good against the black, but on this car a black center cap is best. For more understated bling, full color crests on the center caps does it for some. That really works on a super clean car with deep glossy paint.
Whatever you do, if you do it well, it will look good.
