It is being considered or passed in PDX, not here yet.
laws re landlords are super stringent here already, but there are a lot of exceptions for renting out a room, owning a duplex and other, smaller landlords
I got out of it years ago. But if you back off from your personal position and imagine you are a renter - say a 24 yr old working 2-3 part time jobs in food service, barista, etc. and you lose your job due to the disease, then lose a place to live...
you can see how bad it would be for those people (and I got to know a few by going to a coffee shop every day)
you can also see how bad it would for society to have a huge surge of homeless all of a sudden
I'd get on the horn to my repr. and ask about how small landlords will be compensated for their losses... mention big banks too.
