wiring to fuel pump
last year we resurrected an 84 944. some fuse panel/relay wiring issues. got it running and then rebuild the brakes and a few other items.
then brought it back in for a TB/WP/etc job. got that done and when we tried to start, crank but nothing.
after some trouble shooting, we have a wiring issue between the fuse panel and the pump. I get current when I test the connection across the fuse. when I connected a battery direct to the pump and it ran, and then the car started fine.
looked at the WSM and all I can see from the wiring diagram is the connection from the fuse to the pump. my next effort will be to check the back of that fuse panel.
in full disclosure the console wiring was a mess and we pulled the console to try to sort out some of that. so it may be we caused the issue doing that. but no idea how the FP wire runs from the fuse to the pump.
any ideas to check?
