Everyone knows the Wright brothers invented flight...or did they?
Leonardo Da Vinci and probably many others had already thought up designs well before that.

The Wright Brothers patented 821,393 for a “flying machine" and then successful sued everyone including genius motorcycle builder Glenn Curtiss until the Federal Government stepped in at WW1. Curtiss then created several very successful war airplanes. The government later also paid them both off to join forces, and the
