Sounds like this is for an early car ('84).
The wiring is quite a bit different than for the late ones, which that link is referring to.
The wiring going to the fuel pump from the fuse box should be a green/black, fairly thick wire. There is a connector in this wire near the driver's side running board not far from the fuse panel. If you are not getting power to the pump, but everything else is working, then you may want to check that connector.
