My parents always told us kids to have a 3 month reserve.
Now I'm hearing it should be 6 months.
We have people in all kinds of situations in life so this rule of thumb may not fit for all.
But......I know (from witnessing it in person as a matter of fact) that there are quite a few who have ZERO common sense when it comes to managing their household budget.
It's up to the parents, educators, and peers to mentor our young people into following some kind of provision for emergencies.
You sure won't see it mentioned in the media.....
