Jay, thanks very much for your update. The gravity of your work situation is not to be diminished; no easy words to describe these very odd and fearful times many families are facing. If the prediction that the virus’s impact will peak in mid-April, perhaps the current tunnel, while dark and long, should have some light at the other end.

I enjoyed the description of how your car now feels. Are those coil springs new or just nicely refinished?

My car will definitely need new dampers at all four corners and a thorough front end refresh. I have new tie rod ends and ball joints ready but will also procure new bushing and one control arm... the right side one is visibly kinked. Maybe the trailing arm- and spring-plate bushings will still have some good miles left in them. My car has no rear sway bar; I’ll try it that way before deciding if adding one would be preferable. I’m guessing it will, so I can masterfully tuck the tail in with some deft trailing throttle oversteer (HA!), but my mind is open.

Best wishes for the coming week.

John
