My friends in Florida are operating like business as usual, playing golf and socializing. Every one of them are over 60. It hasn't sunk in a lot of places.
Wait until they get people dying in their county. Maybe they'll wake up then. I don't get it.

Despite my optimistic comments and hope thus far, my wife told me domestic news today. Reportedly, a day or two ago, there was a K1 event held in Saitama (not too far away from Tokyo where 10,000 people attended. If you didn't know, K1 is like martial arts street fighting and extremely popular in this country. Lots of foreigner fighters too
Reportedly many Japanese nationwide were very angry this was held! So far Tokyo has been spared by this pandemic, just some other prefectures, especially Hokkaido being the worst. My wife said today if it gets into Tokyo (greater area of 20,000,000 people), the whole country will be f-cked!
