I am still beating on the Buffalo RAID box. It is a neat little box, with 8 hard drives, and a little PC computer in it. Normally it runs on a version of Linux that Buffalo sets up to manage just the RAID. If I knew more about Linux, it would be easy to repair. The folks on-line have simple instructions, if you are a little proficient in Linux. I am useless.
I did find folks that have just replaced the OS with Linux, and set it up that way. So I figured I would install Mint on it. Worst case, is I have to pull the drive out and format it again to start over. Mint seems to be installing just fine.
I need to find someone that understands Mint just a little to give me some adult supervision and to a few steps.

I hate being ignorant. I guess I can find a Linux for dummies reference and learn what the heck a grub is besides food, and go from there.
