His employees do the refrigeration repair and building maintenance. His employees clean the store, and take care of everything.
He open up into hamburgers and fast food many years ago, and hated having to buy buns, so he built a bakery and makes his own bread and buns. They even make great cookies of various types. Great selection of ice cream. Chocolate Chip cookie dough ice cream is great.
Then he started expanding his stores into a "fresh market" area that sells fruits and veggies, so it is a mini grocery store. We have one within a mile of our house. I was usually in there a few times per week for more fruit and a self confessed fruit-a-holic.
I still make a run for replacement bananas and more bread. I was in there yesterday for a quick run. I use a pen with a stylus on one end for use on phones or touch screens. It is just a rubbery tip that works great for touching the credit card machine and hitting the credit button on the screen. I sure don't want cash change.
Yesterday the bread and bananas were well stocked, but the oranges and apples were slim choices. Their meat department was empty. Lots of cookies, ice cream and milk however!
So I go in, get my stuff, use the pen to touch the credit card machine, and get home. Of course then I wash my hands.

I like em.
One two miles from me.
Went yesterday for milk. Cooler was full. Ice cream was full. Meat selection was low. Sweet rolls low (cinnamon rolls empty) . Cheese pretty well picked over. Couple of folks ordering burgers.
Only a couple of people in the place. Far less shopping traffic than usual.
