Thanks everyone I am just kind of numb at the moment . Mickey is asleep in his bed everything seems normal at the moment . As far back as I can remember we always had a dog . My dad instilled into me to never allow them to suffer . I watched my dad make the decision many times .

It is very difficult to know when is the right time , to be honest there never is a right time . But my wife and I feel that now is the right time . Driving to the vet today is going to be ugly .
