Michael, you're scaring me using the grinder/cut off wheel with no guard and rotating towards you. I'm not trying to be critical for no reason. I have learned to turn the grinder over and use the wheel to the left. It's more awkward but the rotation is away and I keep my hands, arms and face to the right side. If that wheel should catch and explode, I'm not in the line of fire.
Using a grinder with no guard is not good practice, but sometimes it works better that way. If doing so, I sure stay out of direct line with that rascal.
It's been awhile now since I've welded in body panels. You bring back some fun memories. There's huge satisfaction in that.
