911boost, the president of vrbo sent an email to all that had reservations. Basically, he said that owners should refund the full amount. He kind of left it up to the owners. The owner of the house I rented for spring break refunded the full amount. There was about $500 in miscellaneous fees and insurance I needed to get directly from vrbo. If I were you I would contact vrbo to ask for help.

As for the original poster, we all seem to be in the same boat. There were events I've been looking forward to for half a year that I will need to get refunded. I chose to take the full refund and not apply to a later time. You never know when that later time will be or if the organization/company will still be viable. Once everything is OK you can always re-book.
