1987 944s Wiring Help

Hello everyone, first time post here. I am hoping you all can help me get this wiring figured out. This is my first 944 and it is a project hooptie. The previous owner wired up a kill switch in a very interesting way and I don't quite know how to remove it back to factory. I have attached pictures of the relay and switch diagram I mapped out as well as of the wiring itself. The car is a 1987 944s. It had the factory alarm but has since been bypassed (looks to be bypassed correct). With the setup as is the car does run with the switch in one position and then only cranks with the switch in the other.

there are four wires, a relay, and a switch in this setup:

- Blue Wire - 12v from a spare fuse in the fuse box with a 20a fuse in line to the relay

- Orange Wire - I think this might be ignition. It goes from a double green wire under the drivers side of the dash to the relay.

- Black Wire - Goes from relay to physical switch then to ground

- Red Wire - Goes from relay to a cut red wire that goes into the DME

Additionally, I don't seem to have the accessory position with the key in the ignition. It just seems to go to the run position then crank. I don't know if this is because of the kill switch but I thought I would put it out there.

and finally, and this is off topic, but can someone tell me what the two round white plastic things are by the battery in the engine bay? The wires going to this are very frayed and I am worried I need to do something about it.

Thank you all in advance for any assistance you can provide!
