Yes, but to me, a better comparison is cases / population. If you had a town with 1 million people and 100 cases or a town with 1000 people and 100 cases, which town is actually doing worse? The US has >330 million people. The only places that we shouldn't be ahead of are China and India. China has lied about their cases. I understand that India is on a serious lockdown. I'm also a bit curious about how their numbers seem so low considering the amount of inhabitants and the way they live.

Absolutely! I think the cases and death toll out of China are a total load of hooey. China might know the real numbers, but there's a chance that they don't even know. Certainly, even if they have real numbers, no one else is privy to them.
