Another brake story and this was in my 72T. When I used to live in Florida they had some track days in the winter at Sebring, but it was still in the 80's. I had some issues with brake fade on one of the turns slowing from wide open in 4th to about 30mph in 2nd. This was with stock "M" brakes but racing pads. I ended up replacing all 4 discs with slotted and drilled discs. That helped but when I moved back to Oregon and ran track days at the Portland track the back straight was still right at the edge of brake fade. I traded my "M" front brake calipers for a set of "SC" calipers (about 20% more surface area) and no further issues. Keep in mind also my car only weights 2200 lbs and with my 3.0L engine I'm at 9:1 power to weight.
