You've indicated before that a lot (most) of your buyers did not use credit. For the unwashed masses....the spending for quite some time has been on credit.
Borrowing 7 years for a car, etc. and depending upon asset appreciation (on houses) to build equity is a "no win" for most.
I'm extremely conservative fiscally...jmho.
