I can get away with shooting in my back yard. All of my neighbors are shooters. The spring-piston guns are very quiet even without any sort of suppressor, but the pneumatics have a real "crack" to them, especially when pumped to full power. I'm sure if I had any neighbors who objected, the pneumatics would be off limits. They would never hear the springers, though.
