I’ve used one all my life.

My current unit is going in 10-12 years. It’s a NATIONAL brand. I only cook rice with it but it can do more.

The Achilles is the rice bowl. It’s some non stick coated bowl and the coating has been compromised. They are not replaceable. Something about a rice cooker company; I’ve never seen a replacement vessel option.

If I were to buy one today, I would go with one that comes with a stainless steel inner bowl. My mom has one and it’s awesome. Non-scratch, easy to clean. Her brand is ELEPHANT brand.
