Some here may remember I had my house re-roofed recently with aluminum standing seam panels.
I have a gable roof with vents on both gable ends.
When we re-roofed, we removed 3 fixed roof vents so now the gable end vents are all I have.
I anticipate the aluminum - which is silver in color, BTW - will help reduce how much heat is collected in my attic.
But I'm still thinking about adding a thermostatically controlled gable vent fan on one end to help suck out hot air while pulling fresh air in from the opposite end.
I read all the previous posts but am still not sure what the collective thinking is on doing something like this.
This is the unit I'm considering using:
Cool Attic CX1500 Gable Mount Power Attic Ventilator with 2.6-Amp 60-Hz Motor and 14-Inch Blade
Only $69.25 and the reviews on it are very good, in case it's of interest. Lot of photos too, which are always helpful.
Thoughts?
PS - What ever happened to Don? He was a good dOOd.....
