You can have the social worker look into this. The social worker can talk to your mom, and get a feel for whether her fears/concerns are well-founded or not. If she's already on anxiolytics, the social worker can get the psychiatrist (or whoever is managing the meds) to increase or adjust them, or just to point out/rationalize all the medical reasons why she doesn't have it (if that's true).
