BSF G lasurit was and is the paint supplier for Porsche in fact they supply paints to all the top auto makers like BMW, Benz,
in 1972 your car was painted with a urethane enamel Porsche and M Benz were the 1st auto makers to use it. today the same basic paint would be BASF's Limco line. you can get limo in single stage or a base clear.
you could also go with the Glasurit line but the paint will not be a urethane enamel. for a newbe the Glasurit 22 line will be easier to use and clean out using single stage then a urethane enamel will be.
the 22 line has a good blending reducer to melt in the edges of the blends.
because most all shops now just deal with base clear and most shops do not hire painters they hire sprayers most shops will not be able to even blend or know how to blend a single stage finish.
they base out the repair area and just Clear the hole panel.
