If he takes it too far, react, go all out and crush him
Years ago in college, there was a female in my circle of friends that turned out to be quite the drama queen. Over time, she went to greater and greater lengths to stir up trouble just so she could watch the chaos unfold...

One day, before I'd figured out the games she'd play, she calls me up out of the blue: "Chris, your friend Bob is really bothering me. He's way too touchy feely. Can you talk to him for me?" This was plausible. Bob could certainly be that way.

So I call up Bob and politely ask him to stop harassing the mutual female "friend". His response? He starts laughing. Laughing uncontrollably. Laughing for way too long. Finally, he calms down: "Dude, she just called me and asked me to do the same thing with you!"

"So what do we do?"

"We never mention this to her again. It will drive her crazy."

Sure enough, a few days later she arranged a social gathering where both Bob and I would be present. You could visibly see the disappointment on her face when Bob and I got along like always. She grew increasingly frustrated as the night went on.

Eventually, she isolated me and started questioning me: "Did you talk to Bob for me?"

"Yep. We worked it out. Don't worry about it."

"What did you say?"

"Don't worry about it. It's all taken care of."

She stormed off. Later on, I could see that she had isolated Bob and was questioning him. Her body language suggested that she wasn't getting the answers that she wanted. At one point, she was literally stamping her foot with frustration.

I think she expected us to fight over her. She wanted us to fist fight over her. And she wasn't even really attracted to either of us, she was just bored and wanted men to fight over her for her own amusement.

A few years later, she tried to start a fight between myself and my now wife. Once again, she didn't expect us to talk and figure out that she was stirring up trouble for her own amusement. When it didn't produce the drama she desired, she literally fled campus in the middle of the night and drove to Colorado, never to be seen by any of us again.
