Watching the fence guys inspired me to tackle a problem we have ignored for years. The stove top vent hood. One bulb was burned out, and I had ignored it because I had to remove three screws in awkward positions to get to the bulbs. So first comes off the the two grease filters, then the center cover that has the three screws in place.
Like most things taking it apart is way easier than reassembly. The fan motor was full of debris from three roofing jobs. We had quit using it because it made horrible noises. All that crap is out, and I even blew it out with compressed air.
As I was taking the motor out I saw this tag.
Getting things back together was a major pain. The folks that put in the new backsplash ran it up 1/2 inch higher than it was needed. It makes getting the panel back in place a real challenge as it is in the way. It takes some force to push and pull way harder than should ever be necessary.
It is all back together. Lots cleaner, and with two working LED bulbs.
