Need help with stereo in a 2004 F-150
A friend of mine just got a new Ford F-150 4 door. It has an 8" subwoofer under the rear drivers side seat. He has two amps and two 10" or 12" subwoofers from his previous vehicle.
Here is what he wants to do... Drive one of the subs with one amp and the other speakers with the other amp. Our plan was to modify the existing sub box or build a new one. There isn't much free space in the cab, So I was hoping some of the experts could help me execute my plan. Being a new model it is hard to get any info on what to do.
1. Is it possible to put a 10 or 12 in the cab? Maybe move the jack to create a bigger sub box?
2. Where should I mount the amps?
3. Where is the original amp located? Does it just drive the sub or the whole system?
4. Does anyone have a wiring diagram for the existing stereo equipment? Or how should I wire the new stuff?
Thanks
