My understanding is the green wire runs from the ignition coil to the DME.
The DME replaces the old mechanical points in the sense that it send open and close pulses to the ignition primary coil's electrical circuit.
When the DME sends an open pulse, i.e. breaks the circuit to ground and the spark plugs fire just like when points opened in the past.
Sound right?
