Garage
I stayed up way past my bedtime last night reading MegaManuals and MSExtra forum posts and then scurrying out to the garage to double, triple, quadruple check things.

Everything checks out so far.

I had eyeballed the crank position VR sensor air gap initially, so I adjusted it all the way in to where I couldn't get my thinnest feeler between it and the reluctor wheel, but no contact. No change.
Then, I set the air gap to .8mm. Still no joy.

The only thing I can come up with at this point is that the VR conditioning pots are cranked too far clockwise and I'm off the scale. Today when I get off work, I'm going to head out there and set them full anticlockwise and see if I can get anything to register.

Jonny,
I verified that my wiring to the sensor is correct. (thrice over, using different methods)
I continuity checked the wires to the ecu and everything there looks good.
I checked the jumpers ~5-6 times making sure they're exactly how they're supposed to be.
I even tried a second VR sensor (both are brand new) to be sure what I got from GFS wasn't the problem. **I'll be strapping a small block of metal to my drill press and confirming both VR sensors actually work this evening.

And I sent Al an email requesting a call. I figure he will have the best chance of helping me sort this out without violating all the stay-at-home garbage and having the team over for a big ol' brainstorm in the garage.
