But...... what's your cranking rpm like and the voltage to the ECU during cranking? That can be problematic too. Try it without the plugs in the motor?
Jonny,
Idk what my cranking RPM is as I don't have a crank signal to give rpm. I am using a hi-torq starter tho. So it spins 'round pretty handily.
ECU voltage is stable while cranking.
I have not pulled the plugs yet. The battery is brand new and under a 3 year replacement warranty. If it dies, I'll go grab a new one for free...at any Autozone.

I will assume you have a V3.57 board. In this case, turn R56 and R52 trim pots at least 6 turns CCW. This will reset them to lowest limits and you should see a tach signal provided your jumpers are configured properly.

If you are using the MS3X board you should also look at R32 trim pots. These are all 6 turn pots. Meaning they will have min to max resistance value in 6 turns. They will continue to free turn after that but no changes are made. That is a damage prevention function. These trim pots may or may not "click" at each single revolution.

This will be very helpful for you to set the limits on the trim pot.

JPN,
VR sensor wired directly to MS3. The new harnesses from DIYAutotune come with a shielded pair for the crank position already wired in. I just cut to length and terminated with a female EV1 connector.
My primary board is a 3.57.
That all coincides with what I've read as well as with what I plan to do shortly after I finish this post.

I actually have that open in another tab. I've read it ~3-4 times so far and will have it open on the laptop when I get out there in a few minutes.

I'll report back this evening.

Thanks, everyone.
