Good morning! Anyone have time for a Friday night recap?
Yesterday, as advertised, I went on out to the garage after I was released from work and tinkered with the R52 pot. It didn't quite get me where I wanted to be, so I adjusted the sensor in to close the air gap to ~.6mm, backed out pot R56 (just to be sure), and retested.
Better, but the red trace wasn't fully flat at that time. A few bumps in the road, if you will.
So I turned on the noise filter in TunerStudio. I set it to the lowest setting on just the crank signal.
OK!
Next up was testing the durability of this signal after introducing more noise...specifically the Audi COPs and injectors.
The eagle-eyed amongst you may think these are the same composite log...and you'd be right. I took a picture of each and I poop you not, they looked identical. So I didn't upload the same picture twice to Flickr. When I get a fully-funded Flickr sponsorship/endorsement, I'll upload every darn thing I take a picture of. But until then, I'm mindful of my picture limit and I know this project isn't over yet.
MOVING ON.
With the signals getting through, there was little left to do except plug in the fuel pump and see what happened.
Nothing happened. Specifically, nothing new happened. Ain't that a hoot.
But my fuel pump was unimaginably quiet, so I checked fuel pressure. Still zero. Hmmm, methinks something is amiss. Turns out the MS fuel pump signal is a ground and not a hot. So I jumped my fuel pump relay signal to 12v and all of a sudden, I have fuel pressure...
