My brother in law works in a shop north or Enid, OK. Over 100 miles away. It was a warm spring morning and he opened the shop overhead doors 1/2 way open to get some air. As he stood there looking out the door at the country side he could see a "pressure wave" in the atmosphere just above ground level and the overhead door rattled just a little as it hit.
For me it was nothing like low rumble of thunder, it was a very high pitched "ke-rack" followed by the rattling of the blinds in window.
