Critters

Got a call from a tenant yesterday. It seems a groundhog is scratching away at the foundation from a hole in the neighbors yard. Per the internet I poured a few cups of ammonia in the hole along with a few eggs, garlic, plus pepper and covered it up to stink 'em out. I will repeat tomorrow. If that doesn't work then it's defcon5 time.

Just hear some more thumping from the upstairs bathroom ceiling. The shower has double fans and a chipmunk found its way inside again. The last time involved screeching and clawing. I turned on the fan to make him feel uncomfortable and banged on the farthest wall. There is no way to get to the outside. Wish they made those rotating louvers with an exterior mesh guard. I will have to take off the interior cover and try screen the inside somehow.

(This reminds me to get mesh screens for all the WH and furnace protrusions as well...)

When the roof was redone, the top half of the ceiling insulation was pure rodent's nest (and pellets) because the fascia board had gaps.
