It was a routine traffic stop but some cops have an inane ability to sense when someone is hiding something or is just "off".
... and I'd bet the arsehole who did this was rethinking his actions at that point.

He would have been sweating and avoiding eye contact. That would have been more than enough to raise suspicion.
It's one thing to plan something as horrible as this but actually carrying it out is something entirely different.

So yes the cop did his job well. I hope he was officially recognised for his actions.

Just a general question and I mean no disrespect but I wonder...

Did he ever regret what he had done? Or did he show regret somehow?
