Today, I decided to pop the top off and see if there were a couple adjustments I could make on the “lateral seal” of this thing to eliminate the remaining gaps.

I figured a system of tape and post-it notes would be good to mark the gaps.

Armed with my seal-stuff, and tools: I got to work on the dining room table.

I was able to get the pass-side *perfect*

... but I had to go at the driver’s side a couple times to get it right.

I got the lateral seal to touch the glass, and in review of the existing “lateral seals” I can say that they are not in the greatest of shape. Perhaps (maybe) they’re due for replacement like the other seals, but the P-car guys aught to be ashamed of themselves. $250 a side? If (and ONLY if) I could get a fair amount of reassurance that my lateral seal-to-glass would be solid - I would consider this purchase.
