But he is not wrong here. Lina Hidalgo is out of her depth. They passed a county ordinance that is $200 fine for not wearing a mask in public and then directed all Houston and Harris County police offices to start enforcing it.

So as long as your are wearing a mask you can shoplift $850 bucks of stuff and the cops will leave you alone. But if you don't wear the mask, they will fine a shoplifter $200. Yea, that makes lots of sense.
I sure hope they ticket some attorney. It will be interesting to see how long that law stays on the books.
Oklahoma City and many other cities have laws on the books about spitting on the sidewalks. They were from the days of the Spanish flu and Polio epidemics. I bet no one has been ticketed in decades for it, but the law remains.
