OK, the universe is expanding. The biggest scientific breakthrough thus far has had ZERO affect on my life and the lives of the other billions on Mother Earth.

Don't get me wrong. It's interesting and all but where's the relevance? Why are we looking farther and farther outward especially when it raises more questions than answers?

It's like thinking humanity's only chance is to colonize some inhospitable space object someplace. Do those people actually think it makes sense to go where the environment already is what they think Mother Earth will become? Apparently they've recently discovered an Earth-like exo-planet that could sustain life as we know it. Problem: it's so far away it would take multiples of our known history to get there.
