I remember back when the top-of-the-line grills were $800. My FIL went to the local hardware store and asked the owner how many he sold. He said: "None, but I sell a lot of the $400 ones by having the $800 on the floor." A couple of years later, the $2,000 grills hit the market. He asked the same guy how many $2,000 grills he sold. Same answer, but now the $800 were moving.
