I'm not so sure we want to shame intelligent people for sharing their knowledge in our developing Idiocracy. I certainly value contributions from intelligent, knowledgeable people like jyl, tadd and others like them. We all should.

“Stat sig” is common abbreviation for “statistically significant”, usually that means the p-value is < 0.05 but there’s other criteria too.
Trials can appear to show a benefit, but without statistical significance you can’t have confidence the benefit is real.
I’m mostly posting with my phone these days. I use a “gesture“ keyboard but that software has gotten worse, no idea why, and I’m getting all kinds of weird word choices. So I’m using abbreviations more.
