Something positive. I don't know if any of you have been made aware of this, it's been big news in the UK the past few weeks. Captain Thomas Moore, a 99-year-old retired British Army Captain and World War II veteran, set out to raise money for the British National Health Service by walking laps around his garden with his walking frame. I think his goal was something like 1,000 GBP. The whole effort took off via social media and gained national, even international, attention.
So far he's raised somewhere in the region of 30 million GBP.
Today he's celebrating his 100th Birthday with a Spitfire and Hurricane fly past by the Royal Air Force Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, he's been made an honorary Colonel, awarded membership to Lord's Cricket Club, and received congratulatory messages from the British Prime Minister and the Queen.
