Garrity,
i thought i saw one of the Dave951's state that you don't need the sillicium to or special boring machine to bore and polish the block. so question then is "what is the alternative process?"
On the interchangability, stuff like you statement to Eurospec. i would like to know what rods i can swap. i guess a good example would be is if the 8:1 compression on the turbo is derived by shorter rods, or machined pistons, and if i can put the 87 10.2:1 pistons in my 84 with or without rods. i think that the general info on the specs of the various engine parts would let me derive the best combination for my needs.
Thanks,
EGS
