Some of you are familiar with my car, not quite done, and proudly sitting on off-brand 195/65-15 and 225/60-15 tires on Cookies. The Fuchs are in the queue to be refinished and will need to be shod with new tires.
I've narrowed the choice down to the aforementioned Pirellis - both would be somewhat "correct" for the car, but keeping in mind it has a very hot 3.2SS MFI motor and modern double adjustable shocks, does anyone have any real-world experience with the contemporary versions of the P6000 and CN36 (they've been re-made but seemingly updated)? Not necessarily looking for ultimate performance, and actually don't mind if the car dances around a bit, but don't want to revisit the 70's completely, looking for decent steering feel most of all. Given the sizes (15 x 7 and 15 x8 Fuchs) ride comfort should be good.
Thanks in advance, Jon
