Found more cracks in the housing (from the backside) - I think we've 'found' the iceberg cap'n
Also - alternator is really 'stuck' in there, and I don't want to bang on the alt studs for fear of FURTHER housing damage.
I'm now thinking plan 'C' = get a new housing from Carpoint/DC
