Agree with you completely - I never got quotes- I didn't care. Hagerty was the top of the food chain in my eyes.

RE: Record- this was exactly what I was thinking maybe happened- misclassification.

But no, I have a completely clean record. I'm almost 40. 3 kids. Homeowner. Business owner. Perfect credit. Big umbrella policy. Boring/ridiculously low risk to insure.

Seems to have crept from ~$1300 in 2017-2018 to $1825 now.

Insane.

Again if American or someone else was $1300 I wouldn't bother moving- but at this point I have a bad taste left in my mouth also from what you all are quoting you're paying in this thread w/ Hagerty.

I don't get the nuances of insurnace- but when I have other cars worth more insured w/ non-collectors carriers and they're 50% less and the car sees 1000 miles a year on average I can't wrap my head around the method behind the madness.
