That car is quite a beautiful example of a 79 - you really did a fantastic job getting it back on the road. Very tasteful mods, not “in your face” and a very clean machine.
Sorry to hear about the HLS, .... I’ve never heard of the HLS getting Smokey after the relay kit was installed. Did you have a “hot” wire touching another in the area that is in question??
I too had an incident with the HL; before I installed the new turn signal switch and the relay kit where I nearly tested my fire extinguisher. Glad you were able to keep it in check.
