Sun exposure is a killer, and I suspect there won't be anything you can apply to the fabric that will be sufficient to protect it. We had one of those swings with a shade cover in front of our house. The fabric deteriorated over time. My wife bought some sun resistant material and made covers for the pads which held up for a long time after. Maybe making or buying similar covers made from sun shade material would be a solution. We gave our old swing away and bought another that was much more expensive. It seems to be very resistant to sun damage.
