Went walleye fishing on the Detroit River this weekend (yes, it's actually very clean). For those who don't know, the river is split down the middle for US and Canada. I bought my one day Canadian license ($23, which is about $0.30 US). Start fishing, and Windsor Police boat comes by. "Sorry, but our waterways are closed because of coronavirus. You'll have to go back to Michigan side."
I've considered having my credit card company cancel the transaction, but the last thing I need is for it to be flagged with border patrol. I have to cross the border for work on occasion, and they already interrogate me about the possibility of taking a Canadian's job away if they let me through.
Ontario had zero on their website about being closed, and I shouldn't have been allowed to purchase a license (the day before I went fishing).
Ok, rant over.
