My 924S - very close relative of your car - didn't cost much itself, but the parts sure aren't cheap.
Option 1: perhaps that's the "See less evil, spend less money, initially, at least" approach; perhaps less time with the vehicle imobilized, but tougher to build in reliability.
Option 2: what I'm doing, but it is truly the proverbial slippery slope; I'm in deep!
