i don't recall ssi inc. Ever made mufflers originally, so you are prolly getting a muffler made by the company that bought the ssi company and naming rights. I forget who it was that obtained ssi but it was an established exhaust manufacture like billy boat or another like company.

Ive have not seen the newly produced ssi's, but from what ive read is they are not what they were in regards to quality of build. Yrmv.
